"I have been a practicing criminal lawyer for over 30 years and every once in a while something comes along
which makes my life as a defense lawyer easier.
Crime-IQ is one of those helpful tools which in the blink of a eye can search through the Penal Code or
Health and Safety Code and provide you with sentence lengths, credits, and cross-reference collateral
consequences (ie. immigration consequences, registration requirements or driver's license suspensions).
This program is the perfect use of a small PDA computer. It may not make us any smarter but it sure can
give one the illusion of apparent intelligence. I love it."

It's a hell of an effective product, a truly great and easily usable program. I underscore that Crime-IQ is
very important, and I’ve used it during the last several years to enlighten judges on more than one occasion.

"Congratulations on the software you developed for California Criminal Law attorneys. I have clicked through
the directories and find it absolutely amazing that so much information could be made so easily available. It has
convinced me to switch from Blackberry to Palm.
I see it as an absolute must for every attorney practicing criminal law in California. It's like a bench book except
that it is faster, more compact and easier to use.
A lot of attorneys could avoid unnecessary complaints to the state bar by using this handy reference source to
ensure that they have thoroughly and completely discussed the multi-faceted ramifications of pleading guilty to
serious crimes. Whether the concerns are immigration or registration - they are all here. Well done."

I am still trying it out. It is super useful because everything is right there at your fingertips…..The program is
very easy to learn.
I really love the links to enhancements when you pull up the statute and the statutory deadlines feature and the
credits section. Don’t have too much more to say other then it’s GREAT!

I wanted to check on the deportability of PC 245 a1. I did and found out in less than 10 seconds that it was
but only if one received a sentence of a year of more. Thank you for this fine program.

... From the home screen you type in the code section of a substantive crime. You then get an amazing
screen with tons of information, all on that one screen. [...] I highly recommend this program, which I think
is fabulous and extremely useful. It is so easy to use that there is no learning
curve.

This app is seriously bad ass!
It's comprehensive, fast and easy to navigate. Crime-IQ is a weightless safety net. Bravo!

I am a criminal defense practitioner carrying a very heavy felony case load in our PX Department in Alameda
County, Oakland jurisdiction. I consult the Crime-IQ Desktop program several times a day to ensure that I am
giving my clients the most up to date/accurate information regarding their exposures and plea ramifications. I
simply could not confidently fulfill my obligations to render accurate information to my clients without the
constant help of this software program.
It is an invaluable tool in my felony practice.
Susan Walsh
Assistant Public Defender Alameda County
When I first saw the Crime-iq program, it seemed interesting and somewhat useful. At the time, I already
utilized a couple of iPhone apps like the Penal Code and Vehicle Code. I paid about $2.00 for these
programs so the idea of paying $99 was a big leap. I changed my opinion the other day. I was set to go to
trial with a client charged with several felony counts including Criminal Threats and possessing a loaded
weapon. During settlement discussions, we came to an agreement that if I could find an applicable wobbler
gun possession charge, my client could plead to that and the other charges would be dropped in exchange.
As usual, I was in the courthouse hallway. I quickly looked at the Crime-iq trial program on my iPhone and
found a statute that neither the DA nor myself had used before. That sold me right there.

When I first saw Crime IQ on the web, I was not overly impressed. I couldn’t see what the program would really do for me.
This all changed when I was able to download a demonstration version of the program for my iPhone. Crime IQ’s design
seems to intuitively make it easy for me to find the information I want regarding charges filed against a client. The quick
access and useful information enhance the first meetings I have with potential clients, as I am able to tell them very quickly
(without flipping through some book) about consequences over and above time in custody, including such things as lifetime
registration as a sex offender, or the lifetime ban on a driver’s license for anyone convicted of or pleaded to Assault with a
Deadly Weapon with a Vehicle as the weapon (I had two of those cases in early 2009). I am absolutely hooked. I must have
seven or eight pages of apps on my iPhone. Crime IQ is on my first page. I would highly recommend it to anyone practicing
Criminal Defense. It is well worth every cent, and then some.
